NYG 2023: Uba Sani Salutes Team Kaduna Cycling For Winning Gold

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has commended the Kaduna State’s cycling team on their historic win at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games (NYG) in Asaba Delta State, where the team won its first-ever gold medal.

Governor Sani commended the team’s exceptional performance during the 80KM road race, describing the gold medal as a significant achievement that has brought pride to not only the team but the entire Kaduna State.

The governor’s chief press secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, in a statement yesterday said the Kaduna State cycling team also earned a bronze medal, during the 10-kilometer Individual Time Trial (ITT), adding to their success at the 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

“These accomplishments at the games are a reflection of the dedication and diligence of the cyclists,coaches and management in ensuring Kaduna remains at the forefront of sporting excellence in Nigeria”

The statement added that  in an efforts to further boost the morale of Team Kaduna at the ongoing games, Governor Sani has also directed the Kaduna State Commissioner of Sports Development, Prof. Benjamin Gugong, to immediately visit and interact with the team in Asaba,Delta State:” This, he stated will ensure that they put in their best to emerge top winners at the end of the National Youth Games”
