WGCDEI, a dynamic and dedicated non-governmental organization, is on a mission to champion gender equality, empower women, and nurture the holistic development of girl children. Ms. Rachael Nwaoha emphasized the organization’s unwavering commitment to creating a more equitable and just society by making a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of women and girls.

Regarding the goals and objectives of WGCDEI, Ms. Nwaoha revealed that they have set forth a comprehensive roadmap to achieve their mission. These goals encompass promoting gender equality at all levels, advocating for women’s and girls’ rights, providing holistic support including education, healthcare, and skill-building, combating gender-based violence, fostering economic empowerment through entrepreneurship, collaborating with governmental and non-governmental entities for policy implementation, creating a safe and supportive environment for mental and emotional well-being, capacity-building through leadership training, conducting research for evidence-based advocacy, and celebrating women and girls as change-makers.

Highlighting their most recent CSR project, Ms. Nwaoha announced the donation of a borehole to the Kurmin Bi Community in Zangon Kataf, Kaduna State, Nigeria. This initiative brought immense joy to the community, as they witnessed clean and reliable water flowing from the borehole. The community expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the relief from the burden of trekking long distances for water, often from contaminated sources. Ms. Nwaoha described the jubilant atmosphere that enveloped the community, a true cause for celebration.

In conclusion, Ms. Rachael Nwaoha conveyed her commitment to reaching out to more communities, emphasizing that WGCDEI aims to continue contributing to society for the betterment of all. Their mission is to build hope for a brighter future, one borehole and one empowered life at a time.
