Sen Goje Assists Gombe Flood Victims

Senator Danjuma Goje has assisted the victims of the recent flood disaster in Dadin Kowa town of Gombe State with relief items and cash.

The flood which occurred during a heavy downpour two weeks ago, destroyed many houses and farmlands in the area.

Goje, who represents Gombe Central senatorial district in the National Assembly (NASS), presented the relief items yesterday to the beneficiaries.

The items included 100 bags of rice, 100 pieces of mats, 100 pieces of blankets, 100 rolls of wrappers, 100 rolls of cotton material (Shadda) and N500,000 cash.

The event took place at the residence of the ward head of Tinga, where the lawmaker said he was devastated by the incident.

Represented by his aide, Danjuma Babayo, the senator said he was there to empathise with the victims and assist them with the relief materials and cash. He said the assistance was part of his humanitarian services aimed at ameliorating their sufferings.
