Mrs Oyebanji, who urged everyone to come to the aid of the widows and orphans, said the project helped them to attain self-sufficiency in the society

She disclosed that the project which has three categories: active, semi and inactive widows, said over 30,000 widows and 2,000 orphans had been registered in the state to benefit from the programme.

The widows, according to her, would be empowered with materials such as sewing machines, garri processing machines, refrigerator, grinding machines, feeding allowances and raw food will be given to the aged widows, among others.
