This followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Ad-hoc Committee on the Review of Standing Orders of the House at plenary on Tuesday.

The House also approved the recommendation of the report that Committee chairman should co-opt a new Member into the Committee without the express authority of the Speaker.

Other amendments adopted by the House include; provisio for emergency sittings, increase of matters of urgent public importance from a minimum of two to three on each plenary dates and constitutional place for parliamentary friendship groups.

Moving for the consideration of the report, Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee, Hon. Igariwey Enwo stated that the amendments are to guide the 10th House for its structure and duration.
