He said 23 people were killed on Tuesday including three policemen in his director-general’s house, a place he was supposed to pass the night on Monday.

To this end, Ajaka appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the killing of his supporters.

He also called on the heads of security agencies in Abuja to look into the activities of their men in Kogi State, alleging that they had been compromised.

At a press conference in his campaign office in Abuja, Ajaka, who was flanked by a former deputy governor of the state, Elder Simon Ajaka, said since President Tinubu has vowed to ensure a free and fair election, heads of security agencies in the state should be changed.

He said they will ensure that the three policemen killed on Tuesday morning get justice.

Ajaka said, “There was a two-hour attack in the house of our campaign DG and three police officers and 20 others were killed.

“The head of the security agents have been compromised. They are now parading our supporters including my DG of new media as thugs.

“Both the head of Navy, DSS and the Police have been compromised. They are recruiting thugs, moving around with them. They want to eliminate me. I have survived 30 attacks. If not for God, they want to kill me before the election, ” Ajaka said.

Ajaka said the former deputy governor of the state, Simon Achuba is in the list of people that have been marked for elimination.

“The police officers killed today, we must ensure justice for them. Mr President has said he wants free and fair elections. But the CP has been contracted to get me eliminated. Let the world know the situation we are facing in Kogi State,” Ajaka added.
