Bauchi Poly Matriculates 144 Students For Degree Programmes

Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP), Bauchi in affiliation with the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has matriculated 144 students into its degree programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The two institutions promised to provide conducive atmosphere for effective teaching and learning to newly admitted students into the Polytechnic for degree programmes.

Speaking during the matriculation ceremony weekend, the vice chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi, Prof Muhammad Abdul’aziz, described matriculation as a cardinal requirement for admitted students as bonafide members of the university.

Represented by the dean, Faculty of Technology Education, ATBU, Prof Hassan Bello, the vice chancellor charged the admitted students to fully support both the polytechnic and the university communities for the smooth running of the academic activities.

He enjoined the newly admitted students to be law abiding and obey the rules and regulations of the polytechnic and to concentrate in their studies for rapid development of the society.

On his part, the acting rector of the polytechnic, Dr Hashim Sabo Bello, urged the students to shun examination malpractice, sexual harassment, certificate forgery and cultism among other bad behaviours.

He appreciated Governor Bala Mohammad for supporting higher education in the state.
