158 Get First Class As OAU Graduates 6,710 Students

About 158 students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State made First Class Division from 6,710 who graduated at the 47th convocation of the university.

The vice chancellor, Prof. Adebayo Simeon Bamire, who disclosed this yesterday at a press conference organised as part of the programmes to herald the 47th convocation of the university stated that 1,970 made Second Class Upper Division.

He said 2,906 made Second Class Lower Division while 942 are in Third Class Division and 65 graduates in Pass Division.

According to him, the convocation activities, to be held for three consecutive days, will start fully on Thursday,  December 7 and climax on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Amphitheatre of Oduduwa Hall of the institution.

“This year’s convocation is a very unique one because of its attachments. This comes with a lot of goodwill and image-boosting for not only our University but the whole country. The convocation activities, to be held for three consecutive days, will start fully on Thursday, December 7 and climax on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Amphitheatre of Oduduwa Hall on our campus,” Bamire stated.
