The National Hydro Electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has restated its commitment to addressing ecological and environmental challenges in the country.

The managing director of N-HYPPADEC, Abubakar Yelwa, stated this on Monday on the sidelines of ongoing COP28 Climate Change Summit in Dubai, UAE, according to the news bulletin of Sobi FM, Ilorin, Kwara State, monitored by our Correspondent.

Yelwa outlined the agency’s objectives and expectations from the international community.

He said the agency’s focus on securing international support underscored its dedication to addressing ecological issues and contributing to sustainable development in the communities under its purview.

“We are here to introduce HYPPADEC to the international community to explore financial interventions for the various challenges of ecology facing communities covered by HYPPADEC,” Yelwa said.

He emphasised the significance of attending COP28, expressing optimism about positive outcomes stemming from engagements with international organizations.
