Newly Crowned Miss Heritage Int’l Tracy Solomon Hits The Ground Running

Newly Crowned 2023/24 Miss Heritage International pageant, Tracy Solomon is set to unveil her project on the empowerment of women, children and vulnerable across Africa and beyond.

Tracy Solomon has identified Nigeria in West Africa, Burundi in East Africa, some parts of Asia and Europe as areas of interest on her project-  intervention programmes.

The beauty  queen  who hails from Benue state broke the jinx of about 22 years of Nigeria’s absence at the international finale. She won the Miss Heritage International pageant 2023 in an event keenly contested by beauty queens from various countries across the world.

She was the only contestant from West Africa in the Miss Heritage International pageant 2023 in a contest that had pageant from over 70 countries and she braved the odds and emerged winner at the sixth edition of the event held last weekend in Bangkok, Thailand.

Solomon,  who is the Chief executive of the Queen Tracy International Heritage Foundation,in a statement she released earlier in the week, stated that a NEEDS- assessment research was being carried out with the view to ascertain the merits and challenges of the vulnerable.

She pointed out that her reign will give priority attention to promotion of child education in Nigeria and will bring about deliberate policies that will positively change the living conditions of women and the most vulnerable in Nigeria .

 

She stated that her foundation would address that challenge and partner with relevant authorities in Nigeria to bring succour to the needy. Some of the programmes in Nigeria, according to Tracy Solomon will include advocacy in schools and the need for children to understand history and appreciate there heritage and culture. She added that widows, divorcee, single mothers would be given special attention in Nigeria and empowered to sustenance.

 

Other contestants include representatives from Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Netherlands, Sweden, Kenya, India, Nepal, Tanzania, Germany, Mongolia, Netherlands, Singapore, Venezuela, Vietnam, Cameroon, Ukraine, Mexico, Congo, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Myanmar, England, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Czech Republic and South Africa.

 

The first edition of Miss Heritage International was held in 2014 at Kathmandu, Nepal and it had 12 delegates from various countries of the World and was won by Hla Yin Kyae, a beauty queen from Myanmar .
