Yahaya said many military officers would have attended the wedding but for the Army Staff Annual Conference which ended yesterday in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

He described General Ngbale as an officer who had good relationships with virtually everyone while in active service in the Nigerian Army.

Yahaya said, “He had a very good relationship with all of us. He had been a competent officer that you look forward to emulating. He has always been there rendering support to us. We wish him a successful married life.”

Also, Brig-Gen Mohammad from Kaduna State described the groom as someone he can trust even with his life.
Mohammad described General Ngbale as a father to him and role model, and that whoever lives with him will be left with a memory worth emulating and always want to gain from his wisdom in uprightness.

“I was once his staff officer, when he was General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Kaduna. Even though I was in intelligence, I was redeployed to work under him.

“Today, I am looking up to him as a father, this occasion is something I couldn’t have missed. His mentorship cuts across those that worked under him; he is a pathfinding commander,” Mohammed said.
Similarly, Maj-Gen Idoko who doubled as the Best Man, said the groom was a complete gentleman, having been together in the past 53 years.

Idoko urged the couple to always carry each other along as husband and wife.

“Today, they are a couple, one account, one faith, one home, one bed and one business,” he said.
He lauded the present administration for the maintenance of peace in the state.

“Adamawa is peaceful with the present leadership in the state, especially with the deputy governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, as our own, the state would continue to prosper in peace,” he added.
Speaking for the family, Farauta advised the couple to abide by the oath they had taken before God and man for a blessed and happy home. The groom is an elder brother to the deputy governor.
