A 3-day retreat organised for the 9th Governing Council of Osun State College of Technology by the management of the institution ended with a resolution of harmonious relationship between the Council and College Management.
A communiqué issue at the end of the retreat and made available to LEADERSHIP stated that the Council will function harmoniously with Management in ensuring compliance with administrative issues such as Government policies, separation of power, protection of academic tradition among others.
“That the council and the management will make the college a corruption and crisis free environment by ensuring fairness in the discipline of staff, respect the rule of law and follow due process in the contract administration with timely delivery.
“That the council will use every paraphernalia medium, links and connection towards improving the physical environment of the College in order to make it a siren and attractive place for the students, staff and the visitors”
In his address, the Governing Council Chairman, Prince Diran Odeyemi expressed the Council’s appreciation to the Management for organising the Retreat which he said has equipped the Council with better understanding of the administration of Polytechnics.
The Rector, Dr. Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke also appreciated the council chairman and members and expressed the readiness of the Management to continue to work harmoniously with the council.
Lectures delivered at the retreat harped on the importance of cooperation between the management and the council, while facilitators were of the opinion that lack of cooperation will have adverse effects on the academic growth of the institution.
