The managing director of Ufitfly Travel Agency, Evangelist Ogunkeyede Ajibola has urged the federal government to involve brilliant private individuals in the running of Nigerian airports to ensure effective management of the airports.

Ajibola who gave the advice during a chat with newsmen at the just concluded global convention of Prophet Sam Olu-Alo’s Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide also called for the resuscitation of the country national airline, the Nigeria Air.

According to him, “That is what is happening in most developed countries of the world even in the UK, we have a Nigerian who owns an airport and such can also happen here. So, privatisation has been helpful to most countries that are into it.

“It will be good for the system if private bodies and entities are given the right of managing our airport. There will be massive change, good maintenance of facilities and transformation in the aviation sector if such is introduced.”

Harping on the need to bring back Air Nigeria, Ajibola said, “If the airline is launched and makes partnership agreements with the private sector, I am very sure it will come out to be that giant of Africa in the aviation sector irrespective of the year it started. Of course, we might have got it wrong in the past, but it is not bad to start again. So, I believe that Nigeria Air will come back in this era of President Tinubu.”
