In adherence to the carnival’s theme, “Season of Sweetness,” the children, in large numbers, presented performances that exuded an atmosphere of joyfulness.

The UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar witnessed the participation of no less than seven bands during the Children’s Carnival.

Since the state government’s announcement in 2015 of the temporary suspension of the Children’s Carnival, this year’s return was eagerly awaited.

The performances were notable for incorporating local music from various languages, infusing the carnival with vibrant energy.

The Bayside Band, who themed their performance as the “Circus of Happiness,” enthralled the audience with Onyeka Onwenu’s hit, “One Love.”
