The Abuja Body of Comedians (ABC) has congratulated the newly deployed commissioner of police (CP) Benneth Igweh to the nation’s capital and urged him to intensify the ongoing efforts at making the city safe for all.

While recalling the CP’s track record in fighting crime, appealed to him to apply the vigour and tactics in routing out all forms of criminalities in Abuja.

The group’s president, Onome Ohwodo popularly called MC Onome Da Saint in a statement at the weekend, particularly charged the police boss to tackle kidnapping, banditry and “one-chance” a name for robbing residents in vehicles.

Igweh had pledged to tackle kidnapping, ‘one chance’ robbery, banditry and other crimes in FCT.

The comedians said, “Kidnapping, banditry, and incidents of ‘one-chance’ have become serious concerns for our residents and we believe that your expertise and strategic approach will be instrumental in combating these challenges.
