Some Christian clergymen have called on the federal government to create an enabling environment for young Nigerians to get and to be productively engaged in economic activities.

They said the measure would boost the efforts of the federal government to tackle the festering across the country insecurity.

The clerics spoke at the National Ministers’ Conference in Abuja with the theme: “SHIFT”, which was organised by the Champion Faith Assembly.

The senior pastor of the Champion Faith Assembly, Apostle Godspower Udjor, who spoke on their behalf, explained that this year’s edition of the annual event was organized to empower the participants, especially altar ministers with the skills and knowledge to succeed in ministry.

Udjor said, “Above all, we are asking the federal government to provide enabling environment for job creation because when young people are engaged with jobs they will not take to vices because the idle mind is the devil’s workshop. While the church will continue to pray for Nigerians, we also encourage the government at all levels to do the needful because the state of insecurity is alarming.”

Another cleric at the event, Bishop Mercy Grandeur said the event had impacted positively in her and stressed the need for the youths to study the word of God regularly.
