International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) in conjunction with St Thomas A. Becket University in Canterbury, England, has conferred on a philanthropist and diplomat, Ambassador Emmanuel Ifeanyichukwu, Doctor of Security, Peace, and Conflict Resolution Awards.
In his reaction to the recognition, Ifeanyichukwu attributed it to divine grace, and reiterated his resolve to serve humanity both nationally and internationally.
In his acceptance speech, he underscored the significance of patience and resilience in navigating challenges, urging Nigerians to rally behind government initiatives to alleviate economic hardships. He advocated for prioritising national security and agricultural development to ensure food security and bolster the economy.
Commending the awardee’s contributions, Ambassador Paul Adamu, patron of IAWPA in FCT, lauded Ifeanyichukwu as a bridge builder and philanthropist committed to promoting global peace and humanitarian values.
IAWPA, operating as a non-profit organisation with special consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2019, collaborates with UN agencies to advance peace, international security, and sustainable development.
With a steadfast commitment to the UN Millennium Development Goals and UNESCO Culture of Peace Programme, IAWPA stands as a leading advocate for global peace and human dignity, championing international observance days and peace initiatives worldwide.
Ifeanyichukwu’s journey to this accolade began with his education in Enugu State, Nigeria, followed by studies at Eco Superieure De Techologie Et Degestion in Benin Republic, where he earned his B.Sc. in Business Administration.
A seasoned entrepreneur and dedicated humanitarian, he has made substantial contributions to various humanitarian causes across Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, and the United Arab Emirates.
Returning to Nigeria in 2018, Ifeanyichukwu established the Goodnews Foundation and associated enterprises to continue his philanthropic endeavours. Additionally, he serves as the national patron of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS).
