The Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa has said partnership and collaboration with Qatar, is key to revitalizing Nigeria’s culture and heritage.
The minister spoke during a state visit to Qatar with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Musawa who visited the National Museum of Doha, Qatari monuments, and met with the President of the Qatar National Library, Dr Al-Kawari commended the exceptional preservation and development of the Qatari culture and heritage, a feat, she believes Nigeria can benefit from through collaboration, for an innovative future.
“We had multiple productive partnership discussions on the sidelines of the visit, and we are excited about the opportunities that exist for collaboration across multiple segments.
“Partnerships remain a cornerstone of our roadmap. There is a lot of interfaces in terms of what Nigeria wants to do. It is with collaborations and partnerships with countries like Qatar, that we can be able to that. I think Nigeria and Qatar can have very meaningful partnerships.”
She further highlighted a quality of the Qatar government which is heavily invested in the future and its next generation.
“What I saw in Qatar is a government that is looking at the future and the next generation, and this is exactly what the current Nigerian government is looking at,” said Musawa.
