The emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, has urged people of the state to support and pray for the leaders for the progress of Nigeria instead of insulting them in the face of the current economic hardship.
The traditional ruler stated this in his palace in an interactive session with newly turbanned sons of the emirate.
Rilwanu said the title bestowed on them was in recognition of their contributions to the state and urged them to continue to live with the people in peace and tranquility.
He added that they were carefully chosen in recognition of their contributions and urged them to sustain the tempo.
Responding, a former Bauchi State governor, Malam Isa Yuguda, reminded them of the task ahead.
Yuguda stressed the importance of helping the less privileged considering the current challenges facing the country.
He demanded loyalty and support of the traditional title holders to the emirate and the state government.
