Police Arrest 6 For Murder Of Kwara Tricyclist, Robbery

Kwara State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of a tricycle operator, Musbau Aliu, in Ilorin, the state capital.
Musbau’s dismembered corpse was found in an uncompleted building in Oko- Olowo area of Ilorin on Monday.

The deceased had been missing since last Friday before his decomposing corpse was found on Monday by a man who later reported the incident at the Oloje police station in the state capital.
The suspects are Abdullahi Ibrahim of Medina Area, Ilorin, Ismaila Ajirerin, 38, Akata compound, Alore, Ilorin and Adeola Adeosun, 40, Omo Compound, Eruda, Ilorin.
The spokesperson of the state police command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a statement yesterday.

She said one Olanrewaju Salman of Alore area, Ilorin, had on March 10, 2024, reported at the Oloje police station that his brother, Mr Musbau Aliu, left home on March 8th, 2024, at around 17:00pm , with his tricycle for commercial purposes and has since not returned home.
She added, “On March 10, 2024, at about 13:30hrs, the command received information regarding the discovery of a headless corpse in an uncompleted building along Oko-Olowo expressway, by Daru-Salam area. Upon arrival at the scene, a decomposing male corpse was found with its head, part of the buttocks, and both wrists severed.

“It was later confirmed by Mr. Saliman that the deceased was indeed his missing brother, Mr. Musbau Aliu. The deceased was identified as the chairman of the Tricycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (TOAN), Idiose Alore.
“Following swift investigation, three suspects have been apprehended in connection with this heinous crime. They are: Abdullahi Ibrahim of Medina area, Ilorin, Ismaila Ajirerin, aged 38, from Akata Compound, Alore, Ilorin and Adeola Adeosun, aged 40, from Omo Compound, Eruda, Ilorin.”

The police spokesperson expressed the commitment of the command to exhaustively pursue the perpetrators of the dastardly act, assuring the public that investigation into this tragic incident was ongoing with a view to ensuring justice.
Meanwhile, the police command has also arrested three armed robbery suspects in Oko- Erin area of Ilorin, the state capital.

The suspects are John Nbakogu, Toheeb Suleiman and Bolakale Quadir (aka Adaka).
The spokesperson of the state police command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi said a single barrel gun and an android phone were recovered from the suspects.
She said the suspects will be arraigned in court soon.
