Nine of the 50 people abducted from Madaka Market in Rafi local government area of Niger State have been killed by bandits.
LEADERSHIP findings revealed that apart from 22 people killed during the attack, they have killed nine of those abducted on their way to adjoining forest of Allawa area.
It was learnt that most of those abducted were women who were at the Madaka Market when they attacked last Thursday but so far nine of them were killed towards Shiroro local government area of Niger State as they were being taken into the thick forest.

The district head of Madaka, Isah Bawale Madaka, confirmed to LEADERSHIP that “in Kukoki village while going into the forest around Shiroro local government area of Niger State they killed seven people and killed additional two people while moving towards the forest.”
He said so far they had buried over 30 bodies, while saying that the bandits have not asked for ransom, he wondered why they have decided to be killing the abductees.

The district head said for the past few days he has tried to keep tap on the route of the bandits and how to ensure the safety of the people abducted.
Meanwhile, the emir of Kalgara, Alhaji Ahmed Attahiru Gunna and the member representing Rafi, Shiroro and Munya federal constituency, Hon Ismaila Modibbo have visited those injured by the bandits.
