Former Deputy National Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Dr. Ajuji Ahmed has been elected as the new Acting National Chairman of the party.
He replaced Abba Kawu Ali who resigned from the position.
Ali, during the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting at the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja, attributed his resignation on medical advice by his personal physician.
A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the NNPP, Hon. Yakubu Shendam said the resignation prompted a motion for the nomination of a replacement for Ali, and the choice of Dr. Ahmed was unanimously supported by all members of the NWC.
