The chairman of the standing committee for the assessment and payment of compensation of properties affected by road construction across the state, Alh Nuru Adamu Jumba, disclosed this yesterday while speaking with journalists on the ongoing compensation exercise.

He noted that the Governor Bala Muhammad administration has made huge investments in road infrastructure development, stressing that the payment of the compensation was to ameliorate the pains of the people arising from the developmental projects.

Jumba said the committee had on Thursday handed over cheques to those affected by construction of 4km road from Zango to Gwallagan Mayaka and 4.5km road from Sabon Kaura-Birshi linking BRC along Dass Road.

He appealed to the affected people to see the effort of the Government as collective aspirations aimed at transforming communities with developmental projects.
