Wife of the minister of State for Petroleum (Gas), Mrs Esitmbom Ekpo, has solicited aid from governments, institutions, well-placed individuals and caregivers, for multiple-birth mothers for them to be in a better position to take care of their children in these trying times.

Mrs Ekpo, canvassed the gesture at the Ibom Specialty Hospital, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital at a special ceremony to welcome quadruplets (four boys) delivered by lady Rachael, wife of Mr Ekpono-Abasi Humphrey, at the weekend.

Leading a group of women and jubilant mothers under the auspices of Unique Ladies (UL), to celebrate the new mother and welcome her four lovely sons, Mrs. Ekpo, amid singing and dancing while thanking God for safe delivery, admonished other well – meaning Nigerians, to show love.

“Count it all joy, that God in His wisdom decided to do it this way. One, two, three, four babies, all boys, and all four are alive and well. Do not lose heart. The Lord is your strength. He who started this good work is faithful and just to establish it,” she encouraged the new parents.

Doling out gift items and cash, Mrs Ekpo, announced that “after sharing the news of the quadruple birth with my husband, Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, KSJ, I decided to support the Humphreys with funds to offset outstanding medical bills and other needs.”
