A Christian cleric, Rev Chukwudebelu Izuchukwu, has called for the need for discipline and selflessness among the country’s leadership and citizenry to overcome the challenges facing the nation.
The Apapa District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Nigeria made a passionate call for leaders and followers to imbibe the spirit of discipline, put aside selfish interests and prioritise doing things the right way.

He believes this is the path to finding lasting solutions to Nigeria’s problems.
Speaking with newsmen, Rev. Izuchukwu lamented that indiscipline has fueled self-centeredness and corruption, enabling leaders to misappropriate resources meant for the masses.

“Indiscipline is our major problem,” he stated, adding that it had tarnished Nigeria’s image abroad.
He warned corrupt officials diverting public funds into their personal purses to desist immediately or face impending doom for themselves and their lineages.

He reminded them of the universal principle of sowing and reaping, adding that nemesis would inevitably catch up with the wicked.

Rev. Izuchukwu stressed that God would demand an account from bad leaders for the suffering and deaths of the poor caused by their misdeeds.

He urged a return to God through Jesus Christ as the only way out, noting the ongoing confusion as one of the biblical signs of the end times.
Expressing concern over the rampant killings across the country, he said some wicked individuals had turned insecurity into a money-making venture.
