Media networks have rallied round all faith leaders to join in the inaugural Kaduna Interfaith Dialogue (KID) slated for May 2, 2024.
The event being organised by Search for Common Ground Nigeria (SFCGN) in collaboration with other stakeholders will proffer solutions to lasting peace in the state.
Already, the Kaduna Network of Peace Journalists (NPJ) has launched a widespread media campaign aimed at urging all faith leaders in the state to participate in the workshop.
The initiative, according to the group, seeks to promote religious tolerance, peace, and unity in the state.
In a statement issued and signed by the team lead of NPJ, Ibrahim Yakubu yesterday, and made available to newsmen stated that KID stands as a beacon of hope, fostering understanding, tolerance, and unity among people of different religions in the state.
“This workshop for religious leaders in the state offers a pivotal opportunity to strengthen relations and offer solutions to mitigate future crises related to ethno-religious tensions,” said Yakubu.
According to the statement, the event will act as a powerful catalyst for building bridges of understanding, tolerance, and unity among people of different faiths.
“It serves as a beacon of hope in a world where religious diversity can be a source of richness and tension,” he said.
The statement highlighted that the KID brings together individuals from various religious backgrounds to engage in respectful and empathetic conversations, adding that the event provides a platform for sharing beliefs, values, and experiences while fostering genuine understanding.
