Uhola Cultural Festival Begins In Kebbi May 2

The 2024 edition of the National Uhola Festival of Arts and Culture organised by Zuru Emirate Council in Kebbi State will hold between May 2 and May 4, 2024.

The chairman of the organising committee and a former chief of army staff during the regime of the late head of state, Gen. Sani Abacha, Lt-Gen. Ishaya Rizi Bamaiyi, disclosed this yesterday at a news conference in his residence at Rizi Wadtara Close in Zuru town.

He said the event which was originally organised by the Zuru Emirate Council and supported by the Kebbi State government had been endorsed by the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA).

According to him, the event will be part of Zuru Emirate Council’s efforts to unite the people and showcase its cultural heritage.

Bamaiyi commended the governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris and his cabinet members for their financial support and allowing the emirate to hold the historical festival.

Among the dignitaries expected at the event are former chief of army staff, General Theophilus Danjuma, governors, emirs and prominent politicians from across the country.
