Following the disquiet over the absence of President Bola Tinubu in Nigeria, the Presidency has said that Mr. President and his aides, who accompanied him out of the country, would return home on Wednesday.

Recall that President Tinubu had last two weeks travelled to the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia for an official visit on the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte and a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting, respectively.

Since after the two separate engagements, the President quietly travelled to Europe, fuelling speculation back at home about his whereabouts and health condition.

However, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday evening, said President Tinubu and his entourage will return to Nigeria on Wednesday.

Taking to his personal X handle (formerly Twitter), Onanuga wrote: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with his aides, will return to Nigeria tomorrow from Europe.”
