Geh Geh Calls Out Burna Boy Over ₦9bn Bugatti, Demands Youth Empowerment

Social commentator Geh Geh has criticised Afrobeats star Burna Boy over his newly acquired customised Bugatti Chiron VXX, reportedly valued at about ₦9 billion.

In a video circulating online, Geh Geh questioned the purchase amid economic challenges facing many Nigerians and challenged the singer to sell the luxury vehicle and channel the proceeds towards empowering Nigerian youths.

He also described the car purchase as a “financial mistake” and questioned its usefulness to ordinary Nigerians, while arguing that wealthy Nigerians should consider creating opportunities and supporting communities.

“Sell the car and use the money to empower Nigerian youths,” Geh Geh said in the video, while also criticising the decision to spend billions of naira on a luxury vehicle.

Burna Boy recently took delivery of the one-of-a-kind Bugatti Chiron VXX, customised by Dubai-based luxury vehicle company Venuum. The vehicle features a French Racing Blue finish, a yellow number seven on its grille and bespoke interior detailing.

The reported ₦9 billion valuation has been widely published, although the actual amount paid for the vehicle has not been independently confirmed. PUNCH reported that the figure was also cited by the dealership involved in the transaction.

Geh Geh’s comments have since generated reactions online, with the debate extending beyond the car itself to questions about luxury spending, wealth and the social responsibilities of high-profile entertainers.

As of press time, there was no public response from Burna Boy to Geh Geh’s criticism.
