25 Yabatech Students For Training In China

About 25 students of Yaba College of Technology have been empowered by the Chief Diana Chen Foundation for 18 months technical skills training in China.

This was disclosed at the launch of Silk Road International Fellowship Programme in Lagos which introduced the technical skills exchange programme to be held in China where 25 students of Yabatech, 20 male students and five female students from different engineering departments would undergo different training and technical skills.

The launch was attended by the consulate-general to Nigeria, Yan Yuqing, founder of Chief Diana Chen Foundation, Chief Diana Chen, rector of Yaba College of Technology, Eng Abdul Adedotun Ibraheem, representatives of National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) and officials of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the media.

Yuqing lauded the initiative and added that the partnership was part of the vision of the Republic of China to foster development and partnership among nations of common interest.

She urged the students to be of good behavior and explore the cities of China as the training of eighteen months would afford them life opportunities.

At the launch of Silk Road International Fellowship Programme in collaboration with Chief Diana Foundation, GAC Motors and Yabatech, a Chen said the initiative is set to transform the lives of the students, propelling them into the forefront of automotive engineering through an 18-month intensive course in China.

“I am delighted that this initiative, Silk Road International Fellowship Programme, is designed to foster cross-cultural understanding and promote educational advancement among Nigerian students. Through this programme, selected participants will embark on a transformative journey to explore educational and cultural opportunities in countries along the historic Silk Road route.’’
