The Spokesperson and Director of Strategy of the Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria movement, Rt. Hon. Henry Nwawuba, has described the outcome of the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary as a strong endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and reform agenda.

In a statement issued to journalists in Abuja yesterday, Nwawuba said the nearly 11 million votes reportedly secured by President Tinubu during the party’s primary election represented more than electoral support, describing them as a vote of confidence in the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, the support received by the President sends a clear political message from the grassroots to the national level that many Nigerians continue to believe in the direction of the current administration.

“These votes were not just numbers on a convention register. They were 11 million endorsements of leadership, sacrifice, and courage in governance,” Nwawuba said.

He noted that every generation faces a choice between maintaining the status quo and embracing reform, adding that President Tinubu chose the path of difficult but necessary decisions aimed at repositioning the country for long-term growth and development.

Nwawuba cited several policies and programmes of the administration, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which he said has expanded access to tertiary education for students from low-income families.

“For millions of young Nigerians whose dreams of tertiary education once ended at the doorstep of poverty, NELFUND has become a bridge between ambition and opportunity,” he stated.

The former lawmaker also highlighted increased allocations to state and local governments, arguing that the development has enhanced the capacity of sub-national administrations to invest in roads, healthcare, agriculture, and rural infrastructure.

He maintained that communities across the country are beginning to witness greater government presence through development projects and public service delivery.

Addressing concerns over the impact of recent economic reforms, Nwawuba acknowledged that measures such as fuel subsidy removal and fiscal restructuring have presented short-term challenges. However, he insisted that the policies are designed to rebuild Nigeria’s economic foundation and promote sustainable growth.

“The administration’s economic reforms, though challenging in the short term, aim to rebuild the nation’s economic foundation. Leadership is not always the sound of celebration; sometimes it is the courage to make difficult decisions for future generations,” he said.

According to him, the outcome of the APC primary reflects public belief in continuity, stability, and the country’s gradual progress despite prevailing economic and social challenges.

While expressing optimism about the future, Nwawuba said sustained progress would ultimately depend on performance and the successful implementation of government policies across critical sectors.

He congratulated President Tinubu on his emergence from the party’s primary election and expressed confidence that Nigerians would continue to assess the administration’s performance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
