The minister stated this while endorsing the 4th edition of Jagunlabi Football Tournament on Wednesday in Abuja.

Musawa highlighted the importance of sports in promoting cultural exchange and youth development.

The football competition was sponsored by Mr Abiola Abdulkareem, the Special Adviser to the minister on Sub-national Engagements also popularly known as Jagunlabi.

The competition is being organised to unite the people of Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-ero Federal Constituency of Kwara State.

Musawa said she was delighted that the tournament has become a beacon of unity and friendly competition, bringing together youths from diverse backgrounds in the area.

This, she said will help cultivate the spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect in sports development.

“Sports have the power to unite us, and events like the Jagunlabi Football Tournament are essential in promoting cultural exchange, youth development, and community engagement.

“I commend Mr. Abdulkareem for his dedication to grassroots football development and empowering the youth,” the Minister said.

Abdulkareem commended the Minister for her support to the competition and expressed his commitment to supporting grassroots football development and empowering the youths through sports.
