This collection of essays delves into Nigeria’s complex relationship with the English language, questioning whether the nation should fully embrace it as its lingua franca or challenge its colonial roots.

Hagher’s penetrating analysis offers an essential contribution to ongoing discussions about language, culture, and national identity, making it a must-read for those engaged in these debate.

“This book is not just a collection of essays but a profound exploration of Nigeria’s cultural identity and its future,” Hagher explained.

In his second book, ‘Leadership: Leading Africa Out of Chaos’, Hagher presents a comprehensive manual aimed at improving leadership across Africa.

“This book is essential for aspiring leaders, policymakers, and anyone committed to the continent’s betterment,” he noted.

The third book, ‘Beyond Ethnic Grievance: The Jukun and Tiv Crises’, provides a groundbreaking analysis of ethnic conflicts in Nigeria.

Hagher examines the Jukun-Tiv crises through the lenses of power, ethnicity, culture, colonial history, and literature. His bold articulation and thoughtful sincerity challenge prevailing narratives and encourage a reevaluation of Nigeria’s ethnic and political landscape.

“Prepare to rethink everything you thought you knew,” Hagher stated, underscoring the books’ transformative potential.
