Emir Appoints Gov Bala Mohammed’s Elder Brother As Council Member

Bauchi Emirate Council has approved the appointment of the District Head of Duguri, Alhaji Adamu Mohammed Duguri, as a member of the Emirate Council, which will represent all the district heads under the emirate in the council.

The Emirate Council secretary, Alhaji Shehu Mudi Muhammad, signed the letter of Duguri’s appointment.

It reads in part, “I am directed to write and refer to Local Government Service Commission letter No. LGSC/LGA/S/17/T.I/080 dated July 2, 2024, and to convey to you his royal highness approval for your appointment as a council member representing the district heads to fill the vacant position of District Head Representative.”

Muhammad congratulated the appointee, stressing, “While congratulating you for a well-deserved appointment, please accept the council’s esteem regards.”

Duguri was, until this appointment, the executive chairman of the Bauchi State Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
