The accused include Adamu Alhaji Bamu, 35 years and Manu Alhaji Bamu, 32 years old of Kila village in Toungo LGA, and they have confessed to the crime.

The suspects told the police public relations officer of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, that the deceased had killed two children of Adamu.

Narrating the incident, Adamu said that the deceased was not born a witch but he bought it when he lost all his cattle.

He said the deceased had earlier informed them of his intention to buy witchcraft in order to kill his father and inherit his cattle.

He said their victim started bewitching Adamu’s children after he had failed to kill his father as he had planned.

Adamu pointed out that Umaru had murdered his daughter known as Hurera and later Mumuni, and retaliated by killing him which he did not regret.

He said he had macheted him four times while his brothers beat him up with sticks leading to his death.
