Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has sworn in Dr Seun Osamaya as special adviser on women affairs
The appointment is seen as a demonstration of the governor’s commitment to ensuring the advancement and welfare of women in the state.
It also reflects his administration’s commitment to gender equality and inclusion.
The ceremony, which held at the Government House in Akure, was attended by high-ranking government officials, women’s groups, and community leaders.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, in his address, emphasised the critical role of the special adviser on women affairs in shaping policies that support and empower women.
He said, “Dr. Osamaya’s appointment reflects our administration’s commitment to ensuring that the voices of women are heard and that their contributions to society are recognized and supported,” he stated.
“As we look towards the future, we are confident that Dr Seun Osamaye will work tirelessly to address the challenges faced by women in Ondo state and create opportunities for their growth and development,” the governor added.
Osamaye, a grassroots mobiliser, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role, and her passion for empowering women will undoubtedly make a significant impact in Ondo State.
