4 Women Die In Bauchi Auto Crash

No fewer than four women on Wednesday lost their lives in a ghastly road accident which occured in Dutsin-hari, a community along Jalam-Lanzai Road in Darazo local government area of Bauchi State.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the women died while heading to Sade Market.

Reports said the vehicle conveying the deceased was overspeeding, thereby and lost control before it somersaulted.

The women who lost their lives in the crash were identified as Ai’shatu Salihu, 25; Furera Haladu, 25; Zuwaira Dandija,19 and Lahala Muhammed, 41.

Other victims with varied degrees of injuries from the crash were rushed to an hospital for medical treatment.

Spokesperson of Bauchi State Police Command, SP Ahmed Wakil who confirmed the incident to reporters, said over 30 passengers were onboard the vehicle when the accident occurred.

“Many people were injured. When the police took them to the hospital, the doctor confirmed four people dead,” he said.

Wakil expressed the Command’s condolences with the deceased’s family and warned drivers to observe traffic rules.
