Training For Constable Recruit Commences Saturday

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has said successful candidates of the just concluded 2022 police recruitment exercise are expected to resume training this Saturday, August 10, 2024, in different Police colleges in the country.

Spokesperson of the PSC, Ikechukwu Ani, said in a statement that the training will last from August 10th to August 20, 2024.

The candidates expected to report for training are those who confirmed their status in the Police Recruitment Portal: https://apply.policerecruitment.gov. ng.

The names of the candidates are already with the management of the colleges, and only persons whose names are on the list will be admitted.

The commission wishes to state that it has rested the previous Portal, www.policeservicecommission.cloud, where names were initially released after an elaborate meeting with the police management and where it was agreed that the portal used from the beginning of the exercise should be sustained till the end to ensure fairness, justice and inclusivity in the recruitment process.

The PSC stated, “Only candidates whose names appeared on the agreed portal or who received official messages inviting him/her to report at the Colleges will be allowed for the training.

“Messages are being sent to successful candidates, including specialists who will report for training between September 28 and October 10, 2024.

PSC chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu rtd says the candidates should report to the colleges on the required dates.

He said the commission will continue to monitor their progress throughout their stay in the training colleges to ensure they come out fully prepared to serve the nation and contribute to the fight to rescue the country from banditry and terrorism.

Dr Argungu said the commission staff would be sent to the colleges to monitor their conduct and disposition to the training.
