Imo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has pledged unwavering support for the “Information Not Disinformation” campaign, a flagship project of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Imo State Council.

Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma said this when he received the leadership of the NUJ and the Chapel, led by Comrade Ifeanyi Nwanguma and Comrade Chinonso Alozie, at the Command’s headquarters in Owerri yesterday.

Danjuma commended the Correspondents’ Chapel for the “robust initiative ” and its efforts to improve security through accurate and timely reporting and information sharing.

He urged them not to relent in the quest for a more peaceful Imo State and pledged his unalloyed commitment to the initiative, describing it as “people-oriented”.

“We at the Nigerian Police remain committed to ensuring the security of Nigerians. Any effort to tarnish the good effort of the government will be met with great resistance.
