The Oyo State government has warned against selling adulterated diesel products at unauthorized places along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, describing it as an eyesore.
Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Architect Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, warned during a monitoring and enforcement exercise along the route directing the demolition of all structures housing the “Black marketers” of diesel products.
While addressing the illegal marketers, the commissioner hinted at his earlier visit and warned of the need to put a halt to the illegal trading of products along the axis.
He lamented the sellers’ lackadaisical attitudes despite several warnings about the state government’s position against the illegal business.
In a similar development, Architect Mogbonjubola has directed traders at the Fish Market situated at Odo-Ona Kekere in Ibadan to prioritize sanitation.
During his visit, the commissioner conveyed the marketers to the black spot in the premises and warned against further dumping of refuse, advising them to engage the service of Environmental Consultant.
