The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has sympathised with the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Umar Garbai Ibn El-Kanemi, over the flood that submerged his palace in the early hours of Tuesday.
Sulu- Gambari also sympathised with Governor Babagana Zulum and the people of Borno State, especially residents of Maiduguri over the flooding.

The emir, in a statement signed by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona described the flooding as unfortunate and regrettable .

He prayed to Allah to forestall a recurrence of such an incident.

Sulu- Gambari advised governments at all levels to endeavour to work along with the predictions and forecasts of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) in order to provide proactive measures that could avert the ugly situation witnessed in Maiduguri.
