The United Kingdom’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has confirmed that the sexual offence case involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer, Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, remains active, dismissing social media reports of an out-of-court settlement.
Responding to official enquiries on Saturday, September 12, 2026, the CPS Press Office clarified that the entertainer is still scheduled to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, for his Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH).
“This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the CPS stated.
The clarification follows unverified online claims alleging that the complainant had withdrawn the charges, that the matter had been settled privately, or that the dancer had been released from prison.
The CPS did not elaborate on whether the defendant remains in prison custody on remand or has been granted bail ahead of the hearing.
Poco Lee faces a five-count charge comprising attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of assault by penetration following an alleged incident in London during his visit for a concert in August 2026.
Snaresbrook Crown Court previously confirmed that a reporting restriction remains active to protect the identity of the complainant under Section 1 of the UK’s Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
The entertainer has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations remain subject to judicial determination.
