N-HYPPADEC Conducts Needs Mapping, Assessment Of 6,246 Communities

National Hydro-electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has concluded plans to conduct needs mapping and assessment of 6,246 communities within its areas of coverage.

The managing director, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa made this known at the training of officers for the 2024 Needs Assessment exercise to enhance efficient service delivery

He said the exercise will enable the commission to continue to deliver on its mandates in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Sadiq Yelwa posited that the training will provide the commission with the reliable roadmap for intervention in line with the needs of the communities.

He said the activities will cover the 10 states of Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Kebbi, Niger, Plateau, Kaduna, Gombe and Nassarawa states benefitting from the commission at present.

He reminded the participants that the commission was established to conceive, plan and implement projects and programmes in line with the set rules and schemes for the development of the areas covered.

 

Also in his remarks the chairman, Community Implementation Committee 2024 Exercise, Dr Mahmoud Muhammad said modern techniques will be applied in carrying out the exercise to ensure accurate and efficient data for assessing the needs of benefitting communities.
