Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta has thrown his weight behind Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho to rediscover his best form at the club.

Iheanacho joined the Rojiblancos on a free transfer this summer.

The 27-year-old is however yet to prove his class at the club.

The former Manchester City player has made just two league appearances for Sevilla this season.

The Nigerian was left on the bench in the last weekend’s 1-0 home win against Getafe.

Pimienta however believed Iheanacho will get better with time.

“He (Iheanacho) has been with us all week and is doing well,” Pimienta said ahead of Sevilla’s league clash with Alaves.

“He didn’t play last week because he had only recently got back from international duty and was tired from all the flying,” he said.

The coach further praised Iheanacho’s abilities and potential impact on the team, saying, “he’s a great player and we have full faith in him. He brings quality and can take his chance when it comes.”
