Lovepatra Ekufu, popularly known as ‘Nigerian Terminator’, has expressed his desire to give back to society and has concluded plans to host World the Wrestling Champions (WWE) for bouts and Global Impact Awards (GIA) in Lagos.
History-making kickboxing and MMA world champion Ekufu, who declared this in a statement made available to Correspondents in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital on Thursday, explained that the inaugural event slated to last three days is tagged Street2Fame Mega Fight, Concert and Global Impact Awards,
She said: “This three-day international standard event will make history by hosting the first-ever CGWE Professional World Championship Title fight in Lagos. The event will also feature a Global Leadership and Cultural Symposium, bringing together over 50 speakers from more than 30 countries.
“The symposium is expected to attract over 2,600 participants, including global entrepreneurs, consulates, heads of states, and more than 30 ambassadors.”
Lovepatra added that she plans to unite global leaders, entrepreneurs, and entertainment enthusiasts, providing a platform for cultural exchange, business networking, and world-class entertainment.
“The lineup of activities for the concert includes a Global Impact Award, conference, CEOs’ forum, B2B matching, tourism, trade fair and exhibition, business pitch, celebrity boxing, kickboxing K1, talent hunt, pageantry, CGWE wrestling, mixed martial arts, breakout sessions, global innovative pitch, networking, fashion show gallery, cultural showcase, music, comedy, dance and fashion show, gala dinner, red carpet, raffle draw, and the unveiling of Celebrity Global Impact Magazine,” she said.
The police superintendent, who is the first African female fighter to win kickboxing and MMA World Championship titles, is the CEO, Executive Producer and founder of Diamond Superstars Promotion (DSP), which is a global fight and entertainment company based in Nigeria and the United States.
With her ingenuity in the special sports and entertainment industry, the ‘Nigerian Terminator’ assured that she was poised to bridge the talent gap by organizing high-profile celebrity boxing, kickboxing, wrestling matches, live comedy, music, talent hunts and tourism events.
According to her, the showpiece is scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Queen’s Park Event Center, Victoria Island, Lagos, under the auspices of Diamond Superstars Promotion, a global fight and entertainment company.
“The programmes aimed to create unforgettable experiences blending sports and entertainment, to foster community engagement and support charitable causes, seeking to become Africa’s leading celebrity boxing talent hunt platform.
“The match will have world wrestling champions Wesley Pipes – The Muscle Beast and Distinguished Jaxon Slade battle in the ring in Lagos for an electrifying bout and subsequently participate in the Global Impact Awards.
“The highly anticipated event promises to be an adrenaline-packed experience, featuring World-class wrestling matches, a Global Impact Awards ceremony, Live music performances and Celebrity appearances.
“I’m thrilled to bring world-class wrestling to Lagos. This event will showcase Nigeria’s potential as an international sports and entertainment hub.
“On the other hand, the Street2Fame Talent Hunt offers a springboard for upcoming talents and celebrities, engages fans, nurtures new talents from street to stardom, and promotes community engagement and crime prevention.
“The multi-category talent hunt will feature competitions in music, dance, acting, art & craft, modelling and comedy. The audition opens Saturday, 27th September 2024, having as judges Uncle Ben, Naomi Mac and Victory Gbakara, with Obed David as host.
“A major feature of the events would be the Global Impact Awards. The awards ceremony will recognize and honour outstanding individuals and organisations making significant impacts in sports, entertainment, and community development.
“Confirmed Participants include World wrestling champions from the USA, UK, and Africa, Nigerian sports personalities and celebrities, international sports promoters and officials,” she added.
