Amidst the crisis in the Benue State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a former member of the House of Representatives representing Otukpo/Ohimini federal constituency, Chief Ezekiel Adaji, has emerged the new chairman of the party in the just concluded state congress election.
This is even as the newly elected members of the PDP led by the chairman, Chief Adaji, were denied access into the secretariat which was under lock at the time of their visit to commence normal activities.
Announcing the results, chairman of the Benue congress electoral committee, Alhaji Shaba Ibrahim, said Chief Ezekiel Adaji scored 2482 votes and was declared winner.
With his emergence, Adaji now heads the new 27-member State Executive Committee of the party.
Others elected include the state secretary Comr. Dan Nyikwagh; public secretary Tim Nyor; youth leader Ibya Terkimbi and women leader, Alice Albert.
They were sworn in by the caretaker committee legal officer, Barr. Friday Ejembi.
