Taraba State government has renamed the new Government House after a former chief of army staff and minister of defence. General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd.).

This followed the approval from the state House of Assembly.

The permanent secretary, Government House, Jalingo, Mr. Ibrahim Yaboro, said the honour being bestowed on Gen. Danjuma was in appreciation of his role in pushing for the creation of the state.

He said people of the state would forever be grateful to Gen. Danjuma, whom he  described  a statesman, philanthropist, and a leader whose impact on human capital development extends beyond Taraba State.
