Kaduna Commissions Pambeguwa Campus College Of Nursing, Midwifery

The Kaduna State government has commissioned the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Pambeguwa campus, saying the administration of Governor Uba Sani has prioritized the health sector to improve health care.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony of the campus held in Pambeguwa Kaduna, Governor Uba Sani who was represented by the deputy governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe said the establishment of the Nursing and Midwifery College will play a vital role in producing skilled and competent nurses and midwives who will contribute to the improvement of healthcare delivery in the state.

The governor asserted that the state government is investing in the institution to produce well-trained healthcare professionals that will meet the healthcare needs of the growing population of Kaduna State.

On her part, the state commissioner for Health, Umma K. Ahmed, said the establishment of the campus aligns with the broader objective to address the challenges of inadequate healthcare professionals, especially in rural areas.

Ahmed added that the college campus will provide aspiring nurses and midwives with the necessary skills, knowledge, and practical experience to deliver high-quality healthcare, particularly to underserved communities.

 

“With the expansion of our training capacity, we will also contribute to the global healthcare workforce, ensuring that Kaduna State is at the forefront of health service delivery,” the commissioner said.
