AVEVA, a global leader in industrial software, has revealed two major strategic partnerships, including a €1.5 billion collaboration with Vulcan Energy Resources (VER) and a separate agreement with Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC).
These partnerships aim to drive innovation in sustainability and digital transformation across the industrial sector.
Vulcan Energy Resources, a leader in lithium technology, is working to become the world’s first carbon-neutral lithium producer. AVEVA will provide the digital backbone for VER’s €1.5 billion engineering project in Germany’s Upper Rhine Valley. The project focuses on decarbonizing lithium production through a dual lithium chemicals and renewable energy business. The collaboration will leverage AVEVA’s software solutions, such as Contract Risk Management (CRM) and Asset Information Management (AIM), to enhance efficiency, data security, and collaboration across project phases.
The CEO of AVEVA, Caspar Herzberg, who disclosed this at the AVEVA World 2024 press conference in Paris’ Palais des Congrès, said these partnerships allowed the company to push digital transformation and sustainability in industrial assets.
In his reaction, the CEO of Vulcan Energy Resources, Cris Moreno, praised AVEVA as a key partner in delivering digital solutions for their ZERO CARBON LITHIUM™ project.
AVEVA’s second major partnership with Oxford Quantum Circuits, focused on applying quantum computing to industrial challenges. Quantum computing is expected to unlock faster problem-solving capabilities, reduce costs, and lower energy consumption.
