These two industry giants, Zeenab Foods Limited and NEXHUB, have jointly opened promising opportunities for exports to Nigeria’s Export Trade House in China.

The event brought together key players from government institutions and the private sector, including the Nigerian Customs Service and the Nigerian Police Force, to engage in meaningful discussions aimed at boosting Nigeria’s non-oil export sector. Partners such as Access Bank, GTB, Fidelity Bank, Growth Stack, and NACCIMA also participated.

The Group Managing Director of Zeenab Group and Chairman of NEXHUB, Dr. Victor O. Ayemere, highlighted that the Nigeria Export Conference was organized to sensitize the exporting public on the need to bring their commodities for export to the Export Trade House in China.

During the NEXHUB Abuja Export Conference 2024, themed “Navigating the Future of Non-Oil Export,” Ayemere reiterated that the event targeted farmers, youth, business owners, and potential exporters, offering them opportunities to subscribe to the global market with their goods.

He emphasized, “NEXHUB is committed to enhancing the number of Nigerian exporters through a comprehensive approach involving sensitization, training, guidance, and off-taking, equipping exporters with the knowledge of how, what, and where to export, while connecting them with verified buyers.”

He added, “Some time ago, the federal government, through the Export Promotion Council, set up export trade houses across the globe. We were assigned to handle the Export Trade House in China and several other countries.”

Ayemere further explained that Zeenab Foods established the Export Trade House in China to create awareness among the public that they can now export their goods to China through this platform. He noted that similar efforts were made in Lagos, with a conference held on October 7, 2024, where Nigerians were encouraged to showcase and export commodities unique to their states.

He also stated, “We will teach you what to export, how to export, where to export, and who to export to. We will also provide verified buyers. What else do you need? You just need to focus, make up your mind, decide what you can export, and come to us.”

NEXHUB Managing Director, Mr. Babatunde Faleke, emphasized the massive opportunities available in exporting through NEXHUB, a digital platform that connects buyers and sellers for international trade.

He added that the platform was established to empower and equip Nigerian businesses to export seamlessly. “Exporting through the Nigerian Exporters Trade House in China will help drive economic growth by bridging the trade gap between Nigeria, China, and the Far East,” Faleke stated.

Meanwhile, the president of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Barr. Dele Kelvin Oye Esq., expressed his appreciation for the NEXHUB initiative.

He emphasized the need for Nigerians to diversify their export activities and urged participants to seize opportunities in the non-oil sector through the NEXHUB platform.

In addressing concerns about foreign exchange, Oye said, “We are generating forex through exports. The only way to sustain foreign exchange earnings is through exports. If there is a better supply of dollars from exports, the issue of forex will be demystified.”

He concluded, “Imagine each household earning $100. Multiply that by every home. It’s clear that creating an export unit within every business is key, and we are here to help.”
